Rescue, Communication & Equipment Readiness Refresher provides mariners and maritime operators with a practical review of the systems and decisions that support successful rescue after a marine emergency.
Learners review the roles of EPIRBs, radar SARTs, AIS-SARTs, portable VHF radios, visual and audible distress signals, equipment condition and accessibility, survivor organization, rescue-unit communications, and safe recovery awareness. The course also includes Canadian regional considerations relevant to vessels operating in the St. Lawrence, Great Lakes–St. Lawrence Seaway, northern waters and the Arctic.
