Maritime security threats continue to evolve—from piracy and armed robbery to drone, missile, cyber, and electronic interference threats, as well as hybrid threats in high-risk regions. Designed for Masters, officers, Ship Security Officers, watchkeepers, Company Security Officers, and shore-side personnel, this 60-minute refresher builds the situational awareness and risk-based decision-making skills required for modern maritime operations.

Using regional case studies, MISTO, and the Capability–Intent–Opportunity framework, learners gain practical insight into threat behaviour, current risk patterns, and proportionate security responses. Aligned with the ISPS Code, BMP Maritime Security (BMP MS), and current maritime security guidance, the course strengthens compliance awareness, documented due diligence, operational readiness, and confidence at sea.
