Ballast Water Management Awareness gives mariners and shore personnel the practical knowledge needed to support effective ballast water compliance. Aligned with the IMO Ballast Water Management Convention and Canada’s Ballast Water Regulations (SOR/2021-120), the course covers D-1 and D-2 standards, BWMS fundamentals, recordkeeping, reporting, safety, and inspection readiness. Designed for Canadian maritime operations, this awareness-level training supports environmental protection, accurate compliance, and preparedness for Port State Control, flag State, and regulatory inspections.
