Richard Caron

With over 40 years of dedicated service in the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN), Richard has built a career centered on leadership, training development, and operational excellence. Rising through the ranks from Chief Petty Officer to being commissioned as a Lieutenant (Navy), he has had the privilege of leading, mentoring, and training personnel across a broad spectrum of naval and emergency management operations. Throughout his career, he's held key roles including Subject Matter Expert – Emergency Service Specialist, Coastal Operations Officer, Weapons Officer, Basic Military Naval Qualification Team Leader, and Training Coordinator at the Canadian Forces Leadership and Recruit School. These experiences have equipped him with a deep understanding of instructional design, strategic planning, and team facilitation. In addition to his military service, he served as a Training Solution Expert with CAE, where he contributed to the development of advanced training systems and military product solutions, reinforcing his commitment to innovation and excellence in training delivery. He specializes in designing and implementing professional training in Emergency Management (EM) and Naval Operations, always with a focus on relevance, realism, and operational readiness.
